Overbid

The daily number game. Six questions a day, one hidden number each. Bid as high as you dare on a figure you cannot look up, and stop before you go over. Over is nothing.

How to play

1. Declare. Pick 1, 2 or 3 bids before you see the question. Fewer bids, bigger multiplier: ×2.0, ×1.4 or ×1.0.
2. Climb. Read the question and the floor. Bid above the floor. If your bid is under the hidden answer, it holds. That is all you learn.
3. Bank or raise. Take the points, or bid higher. Every bid must beat your last one. The closer you stop to the answer, the more you keep.
4. Never over. One bid above the answer and the round pays nothing. The answer is revealed only when the round ends.

Scoring

A round pays 1,000 × (bid ÷ answer)³, times your multiplier. Stopping early is safe and cheap. Pushing is where the points are.
