The Daily is now five questions
Starting 8 October, the Daily has five questions instead of six.
We've been looking at how people actually play, and six was a bit much. A lot of you stopped somewhere in the middle, usually right after going over on a question. Six rounds is a long time to keep your nerve, and towards the end it started to drag.
Five feels better. You can finish it over a coffee, and each round counts for more, so you think a little harder about that last raise.
Nothing you've already played changes. Older days keep their six questions and their scores in the archive. Match and live rooms stay at six rounds, since there you're up against friends and a longer game is part of the fun.
One heads-up: five rounds add up to less than six, so if your average dips on the stats page, that's why. You haven't got worse.
